The Russian tundra is a vast treeless plain covering everything North of the Artic Circle. That amounts to 10% of Russia.
This is Chernozem, a rich fertile soil located in Humid Continental and Steppe climates. You can grow sunflowers, mint, and beans in this soil.

This is a population density map of Russia. Most of the population lives on the western side of the country because the climate is harder on the eastern side and it is hard to grow things in Eastern Russia.
Tennis (along with track and field and ice hockey) is a popular sport in Russia. Whether amateur or professional, many Russians play this sport.
